TeamOrell participated in the 12th International and 48th Annual ELT@I Conference jointly organized by ELTAI and Department of English and Centre for Research at St. Teresa’s College from June 29 to July 1, 2017.

ELT@I envisions making India a hub of ELT related activities and to conceptualize the experiences of English language teaching-learning and symbiotically share them with others. The theme of the conference was “English Language Acquisition: Western Theories and Eastern Practices”.

The directors of Oréll, Mr. Abubaker Usman and Saji Varghese Chameli along with Oréll’s Business co-ordinators of the four regions participated in the conference. Representing Oréll, Ms. Juveen George presented a short speech on our premium digital language lab, iTell. The booth Oréll hosted was crowded with teachers and other dignitaries to have a look at the software we introduced in the speech.

English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI) was founded on August 7, 1974 by the late Padmashri S. Natarajan, a noted educationalist. ELTAI is a forty-two year old voluntary non-profit organization established with the sole objective of professionalizing English language teaching starting from primary through secondary to tertiary levels. It has about 4000 members on its roll and 60 chapters in different parts of the country. The international conference conducted by ELTAI every year attracts over 800 delegates from various parts of the country and abroad.
