Orell Proficiency Tracker

Orell Proficiency Tracker
Measure. Benchmark. Certify.

Our Proficiency Tracker is a structured, CEFR-aligned evaluation system designed to measure complete language competence — not isolated skills, but real-world communication ability. Instead of testing grammar separately, we assess overall proficiency through an integrated evaluation model that reflects how language is actually used — in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

The system includes:

  • General Proficiency Examination
  • Skill-Based LSRW Assessments (Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing)

The combined performance across all components determines the learner’s certified proficiency level with clarity, precision, and credibility.

CEFR Level Mapping

Based on cumulative performance, learners are placed into internationally recognized proficiency bands:

This structured benchmarking provides:

  • Clear academic positioning
  • Transparent progression pathways
  • Globally recognized proficiency standards

Two-Tier Examination Framework

To ensure structured progression, the Proficiency Tracker is divided into two distinct stages:

Basic Proficiency Test (Up to B1 Level)

Designed for foundational and intermediate learners, this stage evaluates practical language competence from Pre-A1 to B1.
It measures:

  • Functional communication ability
  • Core comprehension skills
  • Everyday speaking and writing performance
  • Applied understanding of spoken and written content

This stage ensures learners build a strong communicative foundation before progressing further.

Advanced Proficiency Test (Up to C2 Level)

Designed for upper-intermediate and advanced learners, this stage evaluates mastery from B2 to C2.
It measures:

  • Advanced comprehension and interpretation
  • Analytical and structured writing
  • Fluent, spontaneous speaking ability
  • Academic and professional communication competence

This level reflects near-native command and confident global communication skills.

Assessment Design

General Proficiency Examination

General Proficiency Examination

A structured objective-type examination that evaluates overall language comprehension and application ability.

It measures how effectively learners understand and respond in real communication contexts.
